Do you know what castle doctrine is? Because I don't think that anyone that understands it is opposed. Every single state in the US has some version of castle doctrine. The state I live in has a duty to retreat, but IIRC that does NOT apply to your home.
Stand your ground is a different matter. I generally support that, but I would like to see it applied equally, rather than largely being extended to white cis- het- christians, and unavailable to anyone else.
