I’m surprised that two Canadian provinces are supporting US tariffs. I don’t know much about Alberta and Saskatchewan but I’m surprised they are siding against Canada.

    Alberta is run by Charles Koch via a lobbyist stooge, and a media ecosystem bought and paid for by Blackrock. Nearly half of "Albertans" have been in Alberta less than 20 years, about 25% of those are people came from Texas or the US Midwest, and the rest were people who washed out of polite society in other provinces and were willing to dig holes for big oil for a meal and some meth money.

    Alberta has an immigration problem, but it isn't black or brown people that are the problem so it doesn't get phrased that way.

    Lived there for years, some of most backwards small town people you'd see and often in the cities. They have their US styled ideals but have no idea how much they'd lose if they separated. Course maybe some do, shouldn't paint a broad brush but in general from living in the ass end of nowhere, most people were nice but I didn't agree with their views. Which I think is a common thread, locally they're nice they just vote to restrict anyone not like them, which isn't nice.

    Mean where I lived there were tons of immigrants (compared to town size anyways, lots of newfies too, couldn't throw a rock without hitting one, never could understand the accent when they drank but since I was drunk too didn't matter, in the end everyone was usually cool) actually people from all over. They were all nice and personable, and many set up shops and they did well. Why don't we want more of people like that in general?

    I was born here, raised here, spent most of my life here, raised my kids here. I watched our population nearly double since I graduated high school. We'd look a lot more like BC if our urban population were a bit bigger and our rural population were a bit smaller. We missed having an NDP premier by 3 ridings and 100 votes last provincial election.

    Unfortunately we developed a reputation for being a place where anti-social conservatives can thrive and we've been in decline ever since.
