They just forgot the part where the people that need roommates don't have money to buy a robot, or pay the subscription for the robot, or the "don't kill me in my sleep" premium upgrade for said robot subscription.

    Well you see, if we increase costs to a point where you need to work 100+ hours a week just to survive then you'll have to buy the robot just to do it.

    The model is probably that you have to rent or finance the robot or something so that it just costs you productivity instead of a big up-front cost.
