I tried using the tiling extension for GNOME and it was pretty awful. Maybe it has improved since then but last time I checked GNOME still couldn't handle multiple workspaces on multiple monitors the way I want so that's a nonstarter for me. I'm currently using Hyprland on Fedora because i3 and sway couldn't easily replicate some functionality I had in AwesomeWM when I migrated to wayland. permalink fedilink source parent
