Is there a way to get ahold of the audiobooks that isn't through audible?

I'd like to give it a try, having really enjoyed to Operation Bounce House through libro .fm

Yes. You can get them directly from SoundBoothTheater which supports the team that does the recordings. They also have an episodic full immersion dramatization available of DCC as well.
