It's not the only thing. But you can bet that the 10/10 reparability score on ifixit is not an accident.
It's great that other companies are sourcing their materials fairly, but if I have to toss the device after three years because the battery is dead and I can't swap it, or because the screen cracks, the speaker died or whatever, I'll take that with a grain of salt.

    However, the combination of a replaceable battery, wireless charging, and a waterproof chassis is a genuine unique selling point in the mid-range segment.

    Didn't read far enough to see if the Gigaset is more repairable than that.
    I just wanted to add that Fairphone is more than just great repairability.
