Question for the Usonians, imagine Iran and the US making a compromise where the US owns the straight of Hormuz and in exchange Iran now owns California. How would you react to this news? (lemmy.ml)

    I call you that since I've heard some Usonians refer Canada as Canadia.
    I found Yankee not insulting enough, considering its origins.
    And the Germans referring US as "amies" does not sit
    well as someone who grew up hearing that word used in the Latin way.
    I'm Dutch.
