That makes sense and I'm not an expert but...evaporated water comes back down again as rain does it not? It's been a while since I've dug into this. Lakes evaporate all the time.

  • My wife (who is a professor) explained it to me this way. The water would have gone into the ground water for the local area, by evaporating, it goes into the larger water system globally, meaning it will rain somewhere else. Ultimately, hurting the available ground water supply of the local population.
