Unfortunately Zelenskyj has decided to NOT reinstate Fedorov.
Fedorov reacted very dramatically to that by calling for a wartime election.
This reaction seems to me to be self serving and out of proportion. So maybe Zelenskyj made the right decision?

Nobody can deny Zelenskyj has done an amazing job from day 1 of the invasion. and even Fedorov shouldn't deny that.
I had hoped Fedorov would get his position back, but I think his reaction settles the matter.

What’s interesting is seeing all these voices come to the same conclusion at the same time.

I can’t imagine the circumstances that would lead him to create a new YT channel and kick it off with a 9 minute call for a kremlin talking point. The musk angle is the most likely, but what did Federov think he was getting out of it?

Exactly, it's weird how he could even think this would be a good idea?
Which made me immediately question both his judgement and personality.

My wife however had spotted it already, so kudos to her for that.

I'm too far out to really tell, but the Federov thing could go either way to me. Zelenskyy might have been right, he might also be getting corrupted by the power of his position after so long. It's not a reason to do anything or call anyone out, but definitely a heads up to put eye balls on the budget details.

The new minister of defense Yevhenii Khmara, has stated he will keep on the entire team Fedorov built. And he will continue the restructuring plans Fedorov started. And now we have a new general that is also on board with this.

The protests against the firing of Fedorov have been ended, and the leader of them has congratulated the new defense minister, and expressed satisfaction that at least they got rid of the old school general. So it seems to me that for now the situation is pretty good.

The news claim that Fedorov is considering a position in USA, which is very far from what he stated just a few weeks ago. So Fedorov has rejected several good offers from Zelenskyj, only to abandon Ukraine completely!
I think you have your answer there regarding who is the patriot and who is not!

I thought he did eventually offer him the position after the old-guard guy was removed, but it was declined?

No he was offered other positions, first as consultant to Zelenskyj as military advisor, and some say he was even offered the positions as vice president.
But no he was never offered to get back his position as minister of defense.
