Nobody is denying proven genocides. The thing people are doing is pointing out that calling something a genocide when it is absolutely not is dangerous and offensive propaganda literally stemming from the nazis. You can't be a genocide denier by correctly pointing out something isn't a genocide. If someone says France committed genocide in Britain last week and I say "no they didn't, that's ridiculous" it doesn't make me a genocide denier - because it didn't happen.
