(solved) Textures do not load when running Spider-Man 2 with Proton (sopuli.xyz)

Aside from audio issues, the initial cutscene played fine, if a bit laggy on my laptop. When loaded into the game, it appears that all the textures are missing, and although the game is functionally fine (you can swing, collide with objects, hear dialogue, etc.), it's pretty unplayable as you can't see anything that isn't next to a bright light source. It looked pretty cool though, but definitely not what I want to enjoy the game (by the way, when on Earth did games exceed 100GB? That's mad!)

I am running the game with Steam + Proton Experimental, with "SteamDeck=1 %command%" as launch arguments (it was a fix online that enabled the game to run in the first place!).

My laptop has an Intel i7-1360p with Intel Iris Xe graphics, no dGPU. So, potato performance.

This forum topic claims the iris xe is not strong enough per the minimum requirements of the game.

Also, upon reviewing the system requirements for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, I found that the minimum GPU specification is a GTX 1650. Unfortunately, the Intel Iris Xe graphics is not comparable to the GTX 1650 in terms of performance. Additionally, both the minimum and recommended GPU specifications for the game are discrete GPUs, which may lead to compatibility issues with the integrated graphics you are using.
