Danny Sapko did a pretty thorough breakdown of the whole thing On his YouTube channel . The tl;dw is basically that D'Addario's explanation still doesn't add up. The ai mastering tool they claim is the culprit doesn't do what they claim it did, and the track was likely made using Suno, and they're just desperately trying to make the stink of it go away.

Weirdly, in the past couple of days I've been seeing a bunch of "boy, I sure love my D'Addario strings, don't they sound amazing?" posts popping up on some of the guitar and bass subreddits. But I'm sure that's probably just coincidence, and not just naked shameless astroturfing. /s
