Great alternative to other non-native vines like wisteria or honeysuckle. Hoping to get some passionfruits as well this fall!

Edit: as a commenter pointed out that is in fact a carpenter bee not a bumblebee.

Got a similar idea to you, growing up the side of my house! Yeah mine didnt really get going until June, I got them when they were already a year old so hopefully next year! I will say yours look a bit more leggy than mine so they might benefit from more sun, if possible.

I am on a condo balcony fighting for more sun with everything else, and they have been deemed 2nd tier in the sun hierarchy. I should be moving at the end of the year (no idea where to) and one thing high on the wish list is backyard space.

I used to have a peach and fig tree, but I had to off load them on the in-laws. The MIL killed the fig, but the peach is still going strong! It was getting super lopsided on the balcony. No amount of rotating was going to stop it. One day....

Are they getting very little sun, or are they really young? Around here, they grow so fast and embrace everything they can. A few of them in that disposition would grow to engulf your entire house if you don't tame them. But they're native in here tho.
