Being against antisemitism and being against Israels crimes are not mutually exclusive. They have, in fact, nothing to do with one another. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Mniot@programming.dev 5 points 4 weeks ago (1 child) Sure. But if you read the original post, it's about someone saying that jews are not safe in Canada. And this is then contrasted with how bicyclists are being killed in Canada but jews are not being killed. Directly contradicting the presented narrative. So then you might wonder: why did someone feel that Canada was unsafe? And you'll find that the answer was "because they heard a few people criticize Israel." In my own experience, the people saying "jews aren't safe" or "this is antisemitism" often aren't jewish or representing any jewish people; they're just pro-evil. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] uniquethrowagay@feddit.org -1 points 4 weeks ago I can't speak for Canada. In Germany, Jewish people are at higher risk of harassment than the general population. Synagogues have armored doors, panic rooms and police around them, especially on Jewish holidays. Much more cyclists die every year than Jews. That doesn't negate the problem of antisemitism though. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 1 point 4 weeks ago Here here. permalink fedilink source parent [+] StarvingMartist@sh.itjust.works -11 points 4 weeks ago (2 children) Alright, I'm just gonna leave you to your ramblings and block you now, have a nice day permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 6 points 4 weeks ago Bye bye! permalink fedilink source parent [–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 3 points 4 weeks ago (1 child) permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] StarvingMartist@sh.itjust.works -8 points 4 weeks ago (2 children) Aww its also delusional, must be a disease going around permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 weeks ago You leaving, or nah? permalink fedilink source parent [–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 0 points 4 weeks ago It's brainworms. permalink fedilink source parent
