Reddit will die within a few years from now, mostly by design. Spez and co are pulling out all the money they can, then let it rot

    It will get worse and worse but the chances of the site dying are pretty slim IMO. The majority of the current user base doesn't even know how good it was way back. They only know the shitty reddit and they still want to spend their time with it.

    I'd say that most people I know got on Reddit after the enshittification had already started in earnest.

    Most people on reddit joined after the official app came out. I cannot imagine using that absolute shit heap of an app, let alone reddit in general anymore.

    I remember having to give up Falcon Pro because of the token cap and witnessing the launch of Reddit's official app: I used to client hop between Relay, Baconreader, Sync and Joey and each one was better than the official app. Richer in features, smoother, user-friendlier (?)
