The market conditions are very unique right now since this is caused by all the AI-slop, and consoles going up in price like this has never happened before. If we think long-term though, i think it will still apply like it used to.

    Nah, it’s never going back to how it was, even when RAM prices normalise. Why? Node shrinks. They just don’t happen anymore. That was the main reason why price drops could happen previously. As it stands there’s no shrinking left to do, so no massive price drops.

    Even if that were true, the prices wouldn't increase either. I think there's more factors at play though that make consoles cheaper over time.

    The market conditions are not unique - this is the new normal. Do you really think the Trump admin is going after the RAM cartel? That was the past, open corruption is the new standard

    You know Trump won't always be in office, right? He isn't a permanent fixture. Best case scenario, he croaks today, worst case scenario, he's out in another two and a half years. Granted I'm not exactly expecting miracles of whoever comes next, but they couldn't be much worse than the overinflated oompah loompah.
