Weird to have him tried twice for the same offense, but then a lot of things in the US law system are weird to me.
I see. But the evidence from his backpack does seem overwhealming. OTOH I don't see why he wouldn't throw the pistol away... well, that's all just speculation. I for one wish him well and I can see an argument for not guilty even if he did kill that CEO.
2 different soverigns - 2 different cases
The stuff from the backpack was suppressed since the police didn't have a warrant
