There are more US auto workers working for foreign-owned companies than there are for American-owned companies. Eventually the Chinese EV companies will follow the path of Honda, Totota, etc. and just start opening factories in the US. Tariffs don't apply to US-built cars.

american ones are pretty crappy, and alot of them are built in mexico anyways.
