I grew up in Northern MI. 1989-2011. I do not recall any summer of wildfires smoke coming across the lake.

    In the 90s and early 2000s, we had lots of "smog days" in southern Ontario. Of course those were mostly from coal plants in Ontario and Michigan, not forest fires. I wonder if its related.
