Honestly the European car industry seems so outdated.

Lobbying against the EV transition and then surpised pikachu face when Chinese EV makers take more market share.

But it looks like the Chinese car industry may also not be the success story that it seems. Because it it subsidised by the state. Despite that, it looks like BYD is dumping cars into the market, in Australia at least, to support their share price

I'd say America is market dumping AI. It's all money put into companies burning through money to try and capture market share.

Nobody but China pays subsidies for every car manufactured.

Others usually do subsidies for research or building factories. Which China does as well of vise.

As it should be, alongside public transportation - because while there could definitely be a lot less car travel, there is a lot of situations that just can't be covered by public transit.
