Pedantry is the bane of progress, discourse, and the weapon of arsehole busybodies and jobsworths. Absolutely join in and have fun. Even the courts in many countries have said "fuck off" to pedantry by allowing spirit of the law vs letter of the law argumentation.Yes, the expectation of clear communication really is the most evil thing that's ever existed.
Arguing over facts that have little situational relevance has nothing to do with clear communication.
Is the score board shown in runes? No. Did the Vikings play soccer? Again….
I'm just referring to what people call 'pedantry', which exists far outside cases like this.
