Honestly I think that is why the sack of shit is spewing this nonsense in the first place, instead of hiding in a bunker somewhere, he doesn't believe it either but he wants to appear strong and brave and powerful "look at me my life is on the line but I don't run and hide!" but if it was really he'd be hiding like Hitler in a bunker (and hopefully with the same happy ending)

Edit: I wonder if his ego is so massive that he is in complete denial of the fact that the vast majority of humanity would celebrate his death, even in the US. Though I suppose the Global South actually would have less reason to even care as what does it really matter who is president in a country that is bombing you and would be doing so regardless, they have less reason to get caught up in electorial nonsense "do the bombs dropping on us have a swastika or a rainbow flag painted on them" doesn't really change the reality of it after all.
