wtf. I thought they were still in reservation mode. I got my reservation in but not a buy option. Is this a review unit?

    If you got in the queue, you were sent an email confirming it so. Then you just wait for your window to purchase. If you didnt get an email, then you didnt make it in this time around.

    But all the scalpers did. Nice. I hate the reservation system. Should just have sold it outright like the controller.

    I hope they don’t do this shit for the frame. I rather just buy it outright than be in a stupid ass lottery.

    Without the system you'd have zero chance to buy one, all would be gone the millisecond it's up. All bought by bots watching the page constantly.

    That’s not true at all. I have purchased every valve hardware product on day 1 without problem.

    I got the original controller and the new one, as well as the index.

    The reservation system sucks. Just give me a buy option. I can beat the bots. I even got a 3090 and 3070 during covid problems.

    The controller didn't even have a fraction of the hype that the steam machine has. The index at that time was extremely pricey when alternatives existed for a third of the price. The steam machine is hyped up as fuck, comparably cheap for a pre-built, and is one of the first systems coming with steam os out of the box. Your comparison sucks, and you sure as hell cannot beat bots when there is a serious scalping operation going on.
