We haven't been serious about climate change and platformed way too many science-deniers up until now.

I found an interesting article on Climate Obstructionism in my country (Ireland). There are many individuals and sectors to blame, such as agri-food, aviation, haulage, and the media. https://doras.dcu.ie/30072/1/Climate-Obstruction-in-Ireland_Kelly%2C%20McNally%2C%20Stephens_%202024.pdf

    It's very ironic how many of the sectors pushing for climate obstructionism are among the ones to be most affected by climate change

    Absolutely. Farmers and haulers protested in Ireland over fuel prices. Those two groups have spend years opposing alternative energy sources that could have helped them today. Plenty of other examples.
