They did say there was something like 40 professions. I would hope it's better things than that!

    They also said you and your friends can have your own society. I'd be down for that, just login and check it before playing other games right quick.

    Can societies attack other societies is my only question. Do I have to worry about being colonized? Something about the spikey polygons on people in that video made me think bad things happen sometimes.

    If the developers of EVE are involved it seems like a safe bet that yes, you will have to worry about attacks from your neighbours, from strangers, and from your closest friends sometimes.
