It would be highly karmic if a natural seismic shift made the island tip or break, sinking his bunker to the bottom of the ocean.
Or an earthquake collapsed the bunker on top of him the day after he went in.
It's like quuuaaaaakes, on your bunker day...
An island seems a poor choice, especially one in the pacific, if the big one hits.
Even if all is well, any people left are going to destroy or take whatever boat you have tucked away.
That would be the proper end of it was a movie or TV series.
Seriously though. These guys are draining the money from the world, building bunkers, and with the full knowledge the rest of us will burn.
Fix nothing. Save yourself.
