Bought a new cloth dryer (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

The most non-dull thing about it was the door could be turned left or right handed, and the door handle can be rotated in 90° increases, pretty cool.

I noticed in the shop that the machine had a door opening to the right, which was strange considering all rest of the dryers and washing machines were left handed. Also the machine at home opens to the left, which is great considering the corner we have it installed

So I asked the seller in shop about it, because the construction of the door seemed like it could be swapped, and he laughed and said it'd be the first time he'd see one where you can swap the door hinge to other side.

We ended up buying the machine and when coming home and opening the manuals, I confirmed my suspicions and disassembled and swapped the door around. Felt like a dad at that moment (until I realized I forgot to install the door seal, and the dryer was already running 😁)

Also I somehow managed to carry it up the stairs and lift it on top of our washing machine somehow without breaking my back, which was nice.

I tried changing the direction on my refrigerator door but discovered that it interfered with the washing unit jammed up next to it.

Recently, the hande on the freezer snapped, so I just took both handles off. It really is quite simple to open a refrigerator door without mechanical assistance.

Now that the handles are off, I feel like I can move the refrigerator into the ktichen a little bit, and that would mean perhaps I can complete my project of changing direction of the door.

I'll be sure to let you know of any progress.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
