  • Two new themes, Groovebox and Quokka (Incorrectly listed as Quack) from the PyLova fork
  • Allow cross-posting of images - from the PyLova fork
  • Back button in header on iOS - good for PWA when browser controls are hidden
  • Improve Irix theme

It's great to see PieFed is starting to implement some of the improvements being bought about by PyLova. We hope in the future they will adopt some of the other current improvements towards moderation report viewing and adding the custom instance emojis into comment bodies.

doesn't really look much different between the two instances. the theme differences are minor. the current default theme on piefed.world is even a bit more compact than the quokk.au default theme.

there are also user settings for more compact post listings, e.g. the variant with smaller thumbnails:

and after writing all this i realized you were referring to the bottom navigation. we updated several piefed versions in the last few days, if this is still the case for you i recommend raising this as a bug directly at https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues

Well, I looked at it a little bit closer : on desktop with chrome's devtools, you can reproduce the issue if you select the mobile view and iphone 14 pro max emulation.

I guess I will submit an issue on Codeberg 😶

Thanks. I will wait a little for Lemmy.world to apply updates, currently they run PieFed v1.6.27-11-gd06f9b66.

we are on the latest version now, there is no need to wait
