Can't they just make tabbed file explorer work properly instead?

What's wrong with tabbed file explorer? I haven't run into any issues yet

There's no way to automatically open new folders in a tab. You can right click but in windows 11 it's hidden in the more options menu by default. You can overcome some of this with regedit but I only use windows for work and naturally I'm locked out of that.

I have never been bothered by right clicking the folder then selecting new tab or new window if I don't want to just enter the folder, but at the top of the window on the bar there are 3 dots. Click that icon and hit options it pops a settings window up and u can select if u want 2x or single click to perform action and if u want to just enter the folder or by default have it open in a new tab or window. If w11 did one thing well I thought it was the new file explorer lol. I haven't done any regedits for these options but sucks to be locked out of that for many reasons!!
