What would you like to say to people like myself who think that Starfleet Academy is written by people who seem to have never watched or understood our favorite science fiction series? (Or at least never understood the point)

    Tawny started writing with lower decks though, yes?

    Star Trek started in 1966. The last 5-6 years have not been kind to the franchise in the slightest..

    Did you watch Lower Decks and/or see all Star Trek releases as they came out? Tawny Newsome is a real one, and Lower Decks pays such homage to the entire franchise in a beautiful way.

    Then again, can't satisfy everyone. Enjoy what you enjoy, and be happy that the things you don't - but are harmless - are at least enjoyed by others <3

    @Reygle I would say that not everything has to be the original series (#TOS ).

    Oh I agree there, but they could exist in the same "universe" as TNG, DS9, or Voyager rather than throwing it all out with the bath water. Edit: or even Enterprise. These could all be more than set dressing for whatever this is.
