E.g. rutracker is closer to public than to private, compared to REDacted. As for downloading, there's not much technical difference between it and streaming, I.e. nothing really prevents you from playing into a virtual soundcard or even reverse-engineering the protocol and saving data directly (moreover, there are such projects on github) permalink fedilink source parent
