This is definitely the biggest barrier. I'm not sure what the proper solution is. Probably needs government backing.

Ive convinced a decent chunk of my friends to message me on Signal by simply being unresponsive on WhatsApp lol. It's much harder to get people to use Matrix instead of Discord though...
