The eu store is a seperate warehouse for most stuff (I think maybe some phones ship always from china) but mostly it's because they have eu taxes applied. Ordering directly from china, any vat or sales tax is applied at import into your country so the eu stuff, with it already applied will look ~20% more expensive.
