I wonder if the composition of Tylenol is different than Dafalgan, which is the equivalent "known" brand here. 500mg is normal, 1g is strong. There's a kids version though, would have to check what the box says.

    Children's versions are often liquid form iirc.

    Dosage levels probably vary widely between different places. Composition will change but the important part is the active/medical ingredients, the other stuff is just usually to prevent tampering or to make easier to take. Coated/non coated. Crush resistance or interference, possibly agents to reduce ingestion discomfort etc. how many mg of the active ingredient (acetaminophen is paracetamol) is usually the difference. Cutting pills in half is often just as good as taking a lower dose pill. Just depends on who needs it.

    Think the general guideline is not to exceed 4000mg per 24h period ages 12+ though always read the medications guide lines
