It was just an expletive, like saying "motherfucker" or "son of a bitch" etc. Keep in mind that outside of USA the N word is not nearly as charged politically and racially as it is within the USA. And PDP is Swedish IIRC, not American. Edit: my point is that his usage of that word - which AFAIK only happened once - is not indicative of his character. It's just indicative that he was really angry at that moment and human brains for some reason use expletives in those cases. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] KrasMazov@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 1 year ago Nah, you're excusing his behavior. He could have cursed in Swedish instead of using a racially charged word. The fact that he knew the word, knew it was bad, it came to his mind and used it is too much to be a "heated" moment. And even if it was, there's literally no excuses. His content is in English and his main audience is USians. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Sandouq_Dyatha@lemmy.ml 1 point 1 year ago he had a heated gamer moment permalink fedilink source parent [–] Sas@beehaw.org 1 point 1 year ago (1 child) You only use expletives that are already in your brain as words to use. You don't just slip into using the n word permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 1 point 1 year ago To which I reiterate: outside of USA that word isn't the same.
