At least I know that the soda fountain nozzle(s) gets cleaned nightly at most restaurants. But nobody ever seems to sanitize the flavor pumps. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago Yeah, I don't think I've seen them at restaurants, but I have seen them at convenience stores a ton. Why they didn't have the flavor shots has always confused me, because that has been the difference between me getting a soda and not. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Squorlple@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 child) Plastic pumps separate from the fountain? I’ve seen them once or twice but I couldn’t name a chain that I’ve been to which has those. But also you’d have to know the ideal ratio of syrup to base soda rather than have it pre-mixed. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 1 point 1 year ago you’d have to know the ideal ratio of syrup to base soda One pump or two, depending on preference. We also have some built in to the machine, and I've seen it right next to the machine as well as a separate pump. permalink fedilink source parent
