The following is a translation of the Pledge for Peace delivered by atomic bomb survivor representative Takeko Kudo on the 78th anniversary of the Aug. 9, 1945 atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

That’s a well-known and very old abbreviation for atomic bomb, tho? It’s not censoring it at all and is fairly common in headlines.
