Today is my first day of semester 6! And fun fact, 2025 should be my last year of undergrad and if everything goes according to plan I will graduate in December! I just wanna finish up here and finally move on to my masters. Also I will start learning Russian this year, too bad there’s no classes I can take so self teaching is what I’ll have to do.

I just started with Russian on Duolingo last week. And here I thought spelling was difficult in my first language (English)
I did do a few lessons and struggled since I didn’t know the alphabet, that is something I know will be tough.
If you can get it, I recommend the app called "Russian Alphabet in 3 Hours." It uses what it calls "contextual learning", going through the letters and putting them in context of use to help you learn them. You'd probably have to practice them as well after to make sure it stays ingrained, but I think it's a pretty strong introduction to the alphabet. And it's free, afaik; the only "string attached" is an organic ad for a related podcast that teaches more Russian and I think the podcast is paid, but I didn't go as far as checking that out.
