Most of us don't really go anywhere outside of the US, the entire continental US is the literal equivalent of the collective EU. What do you want me to say? But the cultural and historical unique is something you are going to miss out on by staying inside your own home country for your entire life. There's plenty of interesting and unique culture within the US if you just go looking for it. Though a lot of it is going to be somewhat westernized in essence.
