I personally really like Open Arena but Xonotic is good too.

I like the fast paced multiplayer fps feel of Quake like games.

There was a realism mod for Quake 3 called “Urban Terror”.

The game was amazing back in the day, though I’m thinking the playerbase would be real small today.
