The more innocent people that Ukrainian terrorists kill, the more determined Russian society becomes that they are facing an existential threat that cannot be negotiated with and must be eradicated once and for all. This isn't rocket science, it's not hard to figure out.

    And just in time for the peace demand by Russia. And just after Ukraine got 10 more years of supplies.

    Seems like someone envisions a war which Russia has to end with the complete occupation of Ukraine. Which would take long enough to get the europeans to throw troops in there, too.

    I'm very cynical about these sorts of "deals". I think in reality they are just meant to create short term morale boosts for Ukraine to keep stringing them along with yet more false hopes. I don't think the US/NATO have either the capability or the intention of keeping any such promises.

    It's just like when they dangle the NATO membership carrot in front of them despite knowing full well it's never going to happen, just so they can drag the war on a little longer.
