If you really don’t want to give a dime to Tencent (and I certainly don’t), you’ll pretty much have to stop using the internet or playing video games.

That's a little bit overreacted, isn't it. This is a list and it's not that hard to avoid this games or companies if you don't want to support Tencent. And some of these companies are also best avoided for their own reasons.
