Limited services are available for unmodded users but it requires using a custom DNS, using a process relatively similar to setting up something like Wiimmfi or Sudomemo on a DS.

Oooh hang on, I should probably warn people that this may cause conflicts with Wiimmfi on a Wii U. I'm aware Wiimmfi is available for unmodded consoles in a limited capacity like Pretendo, and that relies on changing DNS too from memory.

I wonder whether it's possible for Pretendo and Wiimmfi to potentially work together on something unified regarding DNS settings.
