When I'm on the home page, i.e. https://fedinsfw.app/ I can't set my view to tile or wide tile. I'm stuck in list view.

When I'm viewing one /c, !boots@fedinsfw.app for example, I can set my view to list, tile, or wide tile.

The list view crops the visible part of most photos, which is really annoying on an instance like this.

I would also like to set Tile or Wide Tile as my default view for the home page.

Or setting the view not to crop images in posts would be great too!

I'm quite new to the fediverse and got a question. On the instance I am, I can e.g. search for the community [!gonewild@fedinsfw.app](/c/gonewild@fedinsfw.app), which is being found and I can join it bla bla bla (or, as you see, post in this community here).

But when searching for example for [!Anal@fedinsfw.app](/c/Anal@fedinsfw.app), my instance says that it cant find anything.

Is this intended behaviour and how do I know why it cant find it?

Tags in posts seem to be a more prominent feature in PieFed than in Lemmy. Is that more for the federation of the posts and discoverability? Any best practices?

A link or an image post with image links in the body? is there a difference? What if you wanted to upload them all and show them in the same post? I did the first option but eventually the links will die
