I present to the court the following evidence:

Pfeffy has 17147 downvotes to 747 upvotes, a near 23 to 1 downvote ratio.

Further perusing their comments will show that they don't need a bot when they can be their own bottomless pit of negativity. This is truly a marvel of organic use of the lemmyverse, albeit for evil.

I urge them to fall on the mercy of the court and trust that justice will be swift.

Council would like to present to the court our findings in relation to user blindkermit@lemmy.dbzer0.com who has accumulated an astounding 16427 downvotes compared to 222 upvotes.

With an account that's been live for three years, we, the prosecution, are at our wit's end trying to determine what, if anything, this user truly enjoys. Perhaps this extended self-flaggelation in the form of content consumption is a punishment, either for them or for the users of our dear platform. Who can say?

What we can say is that this egregious crime deserves no less than the maximum sentence for this class of offence, and strongly encourage the court to agree.

According to the voting record, @Savvy@lemy.lol cast 788 downvotes in a single day.

Fun fact: 669 of those happened in about 15 minutes!!

At the peak, 90 downvotes were recorded in a single minute, which works out to him casting roughly one vote every two-thirds of a second.

Hmm. That’s pretty fast. Almost suspiciously fast for someone manually clicking every vote.

And during that same day, this account downvoted me 55 times.

That is an awful lot of clicking. Unless, of course, some kind of automated tool or bot was involved to help him do his downvote stalking. Hmmm....

Imagine being so annoyed with a handful of people on Lemmy that ya automate your downvoting just to keep following them around.

Of course, the timing alone doesn’t prove a bot was used. But 669 votes in about 15 minutes, with a peak of 90 in one minute, certainly raises the question.

Very interesting indeed.

This is @TripleDip@lemmy.today

The user created an account just 21 days ago and has made 1,544 downvotes compared to 5 upvotes.

The user hasn’t made a single post or comment either.

Yet another example of someone targeting a very small handful of users. Looks like the posts being downvoted are random comments and nothing controversial, but they are all downvoted by this user.

And his five upvotes? Strangely enough, every one of them went to comments made by other serial downvoters.

Hmm. That’s an interesting coincidence.

It seems very targeted, almost like he’s fixated on a small group of users.

Doesn't seem very happy with some particular Lemmy users. I wonder why he doesn't just block them and move on with his life? Let's hope he starts feeling better about his life soon.

The user created an account 19 days ago and has made 1,179 downvotes compared to 0 upvotes.

The user hasn’t made a single post or comment either.

Yet another example of someone targeting a very small handful of users. Looks like the posts being downvoted are random comments and nothing controversial, but they are all downvoted by this user.

It seems very targeted, almost like he’s fixated on a small group of users and is trying to bully them into no longer enjoying Lemmy.

Of course, this would never stop me, since I'm not afraid of bullies. But it may turn other people off and less inclined to being a part of the fediverse.

Not very nice behavior. Hmm, I wonder what they are so angry about?

@HiAaron@lemmy.wtf created his username just 30 days ago. He immediately made at least 293 downvotes, compared to 0 upvotes.

And it did it all in just one day! That seems odd. It almost seems if the person behind that acount created it just to mass downvote a few select people.

Like the other recent posts here, it looks like he targeted a handful of users who post a wide range of non-political stuff.

If he did it manually, that's a lot of clicking. If he used a bot for it, he sat down and thought through that whole process, and decided it's be a good idea to use a bot to cast downvote 293 votes all at once.

All because... I don't know. That's a really strange thing to do.

This is @blanketfortqueen@lemy.lol

The user created an account 21 days ago and has made 1,132 downvotes compared to 0 upvotes.

The user hasn't made a single post or comment either.

Yet another example of someone targeting a very small handful of users. But it's not for political posts like I figured they would me. Looks like the posts are totally random comments and nothing controversial, but they are all downvoted by this user.

Seems like they are on some vendetta or something. Very strange.

Are we finally starting to see bots come into the fediverse now? What in the world is going on with these serial downvoters? I don't get the thought process behind it.

@truckdumpling@lemy.lol created his username just 14 days ago. He immediately made at least 518 downvotes, compared to 2 upvotes.

And they weren't even political posts. It looks like he targeted a handful of users who post a wide range of non-political stuff all over Lemmy. Seems very much like stalker behavior.

He was rightfully warned and then banned from his instance.

Why would someone even do that on Lemmy?! Why be here if they hate it so much? lol

Your Honor, I regret to inform the court that we have another case.

The accused is @toebeans@thelemmy.club, a name I already find deeply troubling. I dislike toes. I love beans. Combining the two feels less like a username and more like a threat.

This may be personally aimed at me, and everyone knows that you should never, ever aim a toe at anyone unless you're prepared to use it.

I will not burden the court with exact mathematics because the Trauma Math Department has gone home for the evening, but it does indeed come out to 9 votes in one day.

Nine is the most dangerous number because upside down it becomes a six. Which makes me think of 69. Which makes me think of what if I did the 69 position with Professor Craine, my grossly overweight teacher from college back in 1957. And that reminds me of grilled cheese sandwiches, which I love.

But now I hate them.

This is causing me much, much grief, Your Honor.

Toes. Beans. Grilled cheese sandwiches. I may have to fast after this.

What really matters is that the arrows appeared with enough regularity for me to become suspicious, wounded, and briefly interested in constitutional law.

I therefore submit Exhibit A: https://lemvotes.org/user/toebeans@thelemmy.club

Exhibit B: the name “toebeans.”

Exhibit C: my longstanding and legally relevant opposition to toes.

The people, once again meaning me, request immediate acknowledgment, a full investigation, and perhaps some sort of bean-related compensation.

We should also decide whether toes can legally own beans.

Your Honor, fellow litigants, bailiffs, clerks, and whatever else I can think of, I come before this court with a heavy heart and a downvote count that has now become too large to safely store indoors.

Over the last three days, @NewPerspective@lemmy.today and @NewPerspective@lemmy.world has allegedly downvoted me 27 separate times.

I have not made a pretty chart for this number. I attempted to do so, but after the seventh downvote, I became dizzy… We are therefore proceeding under the ancient legal principle of Trauma Math, in which a number becomes admissible once remembering it feels bad enough.

I have reviewed several of the comments involved.

One was a fact about bean humans.

Another may have simply been the word “yeah.”

The court finds it difficult to imagine what threat these statements posed to the Lemmy Republic.

And yet the arrows came.

Again.

And again.

And, according to my notes, at least once during supper time. That’s vulgar. Twenty-three downvotes are not an accident. Twenty-three downvotes are a pattern. And a pattern, once formally observed by this court, becomes evidence whether it wants to or not.

I therefore submit Exhibit A: https://lemvotes.org/user/NewPerspective@lemmy.today and https://lemvotes.org/user/NewPerspective@lemmy.world

Exhibit B: my hurt feelings.

Exhibit C: that damned @notwesker@lemmy.sdf.org, who may or may not be a doctor, banned me for 10 entire days and let NewPerspective walk unscathed. The horror of this confounds me. Everyone must be held accountable! I demand it!

The people, meaning me, rest their case.

The court may now panic. I will not sleep until justice has been served or until 8:30 p.m.
