This seriously brought me down the other day when I first read it. I'm glad that BBC is doing this important work, but also, this is so dark my brain just can't go there.

Same. As a kid, I've witnessed all kinds of messed up evil. From a bunch of kids stoning a cat to death, to literally playing soccer with a hedgehog, to a partially paralyzed dog getting thrown in a garbage truck, this is by far the most evil thing I've ever seen. What's also fucked up is that most people are indifferent. Sure they'd feel sad if they come across this, but they'd rather not read the article or watch the documentary because it'd ruin their mood and they don't want that.
at first, I thought it was a clickbait title, maybe dealing with the cute little fuckers as pets.

I feel annoyed that BBC are claiming this. Youtubers were making videos on this ages ago.
They say in Asian but then one of them is literally from the states. Evil lives everywhere.
Just reading the article made me feel angry and sad. What kind of sick bastards think intentionally causing animals pain, for the purpose of causing them pain, is fun?
