I have a Vodafone modem/router and it emits the normal "Vodafone-XXX" SSID but then it also emits several other SSID's that are all called wave.

Like "Wave_44" "Wave_12" ... I have 8 or so of these...

I tried accessing the router but nothing I do changes this. Does anyone know how I can change it?

Buy your own router. Vodafone or any other provided by ISP is barely usable.

For the most part, it does everything I need it to...

I can see other vodafone networks but I have never seen this wave thing, I am guessing it's a defekt or bad configuration.

Vodafone may not enable using their router in bridge mode. It's probably necessary to use it anyway, especially if it is used as ONT or of the OP has phone/TV service.

This really depends on where the OP is based.
