Ok this is weird, years ago I had an employee pull cable and put faceplates with keystones in a couple rooms. Other ends terminate in a patch panel in a small rack. Easy enough I thought, except now every single one has open 7/8 according to my Klein cable tester. I pulled them apart and they are both correct for 568A. I went over them with a punch down tool and they are all punched all the way down.

Anyone have suggestions for what to look for? I guess next I’ll pull the 7/8 wire, twist one end and check continuity. Seems impossible that 6 different runs all have the same broken pairs.

Thanks!

Is it a loaded or unloaded patch panel? Loaded path panels go bad occasionally

Interesting it’s loaded. Maybe I’ll swap for u loaded, I have a ton of keystones around
