My old person trait is that I think 'ghosting' is completely unacceptable and you owe the other person a face-to-face conversation.
You can somewhat avoid them on YouTube, but they're really annoying on Instagram, given that I'm using the platform for photography, and augmented by the fact that I can't disable autoplay.
