Well the point of the UN is to get people yelling at each other rather than starting world wars and to provide humanitarian aid. They do pretty well on the whole, if the fucking US would just stop vetoing.

Russia is a permanent member of the security council. Russia. The country currently invading Ukraine, who undermined US elections, who shot at a nuclear power plant and dug trenches at Chernobyl, who sow the seeds of discontent at every chance they get. Russia. Yeah the US vetoing aint the problem here.

You do realise a thing can have more than one problem, and i ain't running a competition here, right?

Anyway if the UN were valueless, the pissy big boys wouldn't be so keen on having their voice heard there.

Yeah the UN is not stopping wars if Ukraine/Russia and Palestine/Israel is anything to go by. Let's not forget poor little Armenia. And if we are lucky we might get a bonus China/Taiwan war. The only thing stopping war right now is the expense and the prospect of losing.
